Give Students Learning-Only Access in QwikTeach

If your students book and pay through a school or another system, they don't need booking and payment options in their QwikTeach accounts. You can now give them learning-only access so they can use QwikTeach for the work you assign and the feedback you share.
You can switch this on for all your students or for the current members of a group. The students keep their learning tools, while the commercial features are hidden.
What changes for students
With learning-only access, students can still open their assigned work, practice between lessons, read feedback, check their progress, and see scheduled lessons. Their workspace continues to include the learning areas they use for essays, level tests, and lesson materials.
They won't see Book lessons, Subscriptions, payments and credits, or Refer a Friend. Their first-login introduction also skips the booking and billing steps. If a student tries to open a commercial page through a direct link, QwikTeach sends them back to their student home page.
Scheduled lessons remain visible. On the My lessons page, a student can see their sessions without being prompted to arrange or pay for another one.
Turn it on for all your students
Open Booking Settings and stay on the Basic Settings tab. Under Student portal, turn on Learning-only portal, then click Save Settings.
This changes the access setting for your current students and makes learning-only access the default for students you add later. You can turn the setting off again if you decide to use QwikTeach's commercial features with your students.
For example, if you teach pupils through a separate school that collects their fees and sets their timetable, you can leave those arrangements with the school. Your pupils can use their QwikTeach accounts for assignments, practice, and feedback without seeing a checkout or a booking button. The school doesn't need a QwikTeach account for you to use this setting.
Change one group
If only part of your roster needs learning-only access, open Groups and choose the group. In Student portal access, click Learning only and confirm the change. QwikTeach updates the group's current members together.
The same section shows how many members have learning-only and commercial access. If the group later needs booking and payment features, click Commercial access.
The group button changes the students who are members at the time you click it. A student added to the group later keeps the access setting they already had. If you're adding more pupils to an existing group, check that setting after you've added them.
Before you switch
If one of the selected students has an active QwikTeach subscription, QwikTeach won't apply the learning-only change to that selection. Resolve the subscription first, then try the setting again. This avoids hiding subscription controls from someone who still has a QwikTeach billing arrangement.
Open Booking Settings to change access for all your students, or open Groups to update a class.
